* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…A portion of southeast New York, including the following
counties, Bronx and Westchester.
* WHEN…Until 800 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 349 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches
of rain have fallen.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Yonkers, New Rochelle, White Plains, Mott Haven, East
Tremont, Port Chester, Greenwich, Riverdale, Co-op City,
Harrison, Scarsdale, Bronxville, City Island, Mount Vernon,
Eastchester, Mamaroneck, Rye Brook, Hastings-on-Hudson,
Greenville and Pelham.
