…FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 AM EST EARLY THIS MORNING…
* WHAT…Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.
* WHERE…Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following
county, Fairfield and southeast New York, including the following
counties, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester.
* WHEN…Until 330 AM EST.
* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 116 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding
is already occurring in the warned area. Between 1 and 2
inches of rain have fallen.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Yonkers, Stamford, Danbury, New Rochelle, White Plains, Port
Chester, Ossining, Peekskill, New Canaan, Tarrytown, Mount
Kisco, Dobbs Ferry, Nyack, Tappan, Greenwich, Harrison,
Ridgefield, Bethel, Wilton and Scarsdale.
