John Isaac Launches Campaign Aimed at Transforming New York State Assembly

John Isaac challenges incumbent Nader Sayegh for the New York Assembly 90 seat. Issac aims to use the position and his platform to transform the state. He aspires to give underprivileged New York residents the chance to persist and prosper.

Current legislative framework of New York’s assembly

In New York State, the legislative branch comprises a two-house chamber containing the senate and assembly. The assembly, with 150 members, enacts policies and ensures the state’s economic welfare.

Elected on January 1, 2019, Nader Sayegh currently represents the 90th district in Yonkers. Sayegh advocates for bringing more inclusive and fair opportunities for all New Yorkers. Furthermore, he strives to see New York residents, especially in Yonkers, succeed despite economic and systemic barriers.

On Saturday, April 20, John Isaac launched his “Not About the Politics, It’s About the People” campaign for the New York State Assembly. Issac presented it at a press conference in Brendan Hill.

Since arriving from India to the United States, Isaac has been an active leader in his community. He works to improve living conditions on an economic and social level. Additionally, he intends to bring a new life of success and security to New York amidst rising crime, educational inequalities, and other concerning matters. 

Moreover, the mission of Isaac’s campaign is to strengthen community influence and ignite more civic engagement across New York State. It is meant to offer residents more civil protections and opportunities to be heard. Consequently, helping civilians build a “better” New York and access the life they seek.
