The expansion into Yonkers is part of a strategic agreement with Great Point Studios, the owner and operator of Lionsgate Studios. The sprawling $500 million studio complex spans an impressive 1 million square feet and comprises stages, offices, and backlots. Notable tenants include production and distribution company Mediapro and Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communication.

Goldcrest Post managing director Domenic Rom expressed enthusiasm about this new venture. He views this expansion as a contribution to a “new era” in film and TV production in New York. Rom noted his awe at the design, scope, and concept of Lionsgate Studios during his recent tour.

Moreover, the decision to establish a presence at Lionsgate Studios Yonkers strategically aligns with leveraging New York State’s tax credit program. With benefits reaching up to 45% for qualifying productions, Goldcrest wishes to provide valuable incentives to choose their services.
