Wold-famous rapper and actor, 50 Cent, made a special appearance at Stew Leonard’s in Yonkers on Thursday to promote his brand of luxury champagne ahead of New Year’s Eve.
A time to celebrate
A great place in Yonkers to get your celebratory bubbly for New Year’s would be our own, Stew Leonard’s. Located at 1 Stew Leonard Drive, the popular Wines & Spirits shop hosted a cognac tasting and bottle signing with famous New Yorker, 50 Cent, on Thursday, December 28th.
For those who had purchased tickets to the event, you were able to meet the star and take a photo. As official greeter for The City of Yonkers, Mayor Mike Spano was one of the first few to say hello. He was accompanied by his children, Michael and Alexandra, who are big fans of the rapper.
Behind the businessman
50 Cent ushered in a new era for Hip Hop in the early 2000’s. He graced our ears with some of his most popular hits like, “In Da Club” and “21 Questions.” His music paved the way for future artists such as Drake, 6LACK, and Ty Dolla $ign. Thus, solidifying his name in the decades to come.
Curtis James Jackson III, AKA 50 Cent, showcased his popular Branson Cognac and champagne, Le Chemin du Roi. The a Jamaica, Queens native named the spirit for the illumination its shining color brings, lighting the way forward.
In February, the brut champagne won the Grand Champion: Best at Show award at the Rodeo Uncorked International Wine Competition. Out of 3,000 contestants and over 100 prestigious wine judges, his champagne reigned supreme in the Houston, Texas event.
With the conclusion of his global farewell tour “The Final Lap Tour 2023”, 50 Cent confirmed his retirement from the rap game. However, with his recent appearance promoting his luxury liquors, the dynamic entrepreneur has shown that he’s not going to leave the spotlight anytime soon.
