5 Individuals Injured, 3 Gravely, in Unrelated Shootings In Yonkers

On Monday, July 18, 2022, five individuals were injured in unrelated shootings around Yonkers.

A report on two gunshots that happened in different locations and injured a total of five individuals was released by the Yonkers Police Department on Sunday morning. These occurrences took place on Saturday night.

According to police, the first incident happened at a dedication ceremony held at a park on Locust Hill Avenue.

Around nine o’clock in the evening, two 18-year-olds—one male and one female—were shot.

Currently, men’s health is critical yet functional.

A 30-year-old woman, and two men (ages 41 and 42), were shot and this incident occurred down School Street about two hours later.

Both the 42-year-old male and the woman are in severe situations. Despite preliminary reports, authorities claim they cannot identify a connection between the two occurrences.

There have not been any arrests made at this time.
