In the vibrant landscape of the Yonkers’ music scene, Khristian Crawford wishes to emerge with his own distinctive sound.
This 19-year-old artist hails originally from New Jersey, but has grown deep roots in Yonkers since he moved to the city during grade school. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2022 as a My Brother’s Keeper fellow. And like many in the program, he remains committed to the betterment of his community.
Khristian began to dabble in music through social media. By recording songs on his phone, he’d send them to friends and new fans through platforms like Instagram and Tiktok. With a unique sound that layers R&B atop drill rap beats, he found a style that is all his own. And that fresh take on an established genre may launch Khristian beyond his circle of followers.
Khristian is now gearing up to drop a groundbreaking solo track in the first week of January. With it, he says that he hopes to “bring some positive light to our city in the music industry.”

More than a one-man band

One thing I hope to do with this song is to get my town back on the map for all the content creators!
